Psalm 19:1--The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handywork.

I wish to apologize to anyone who may be having trouble making comments on my posts. I appreciate your visit so much, and wish I could read what you have to say, but something is going on with my computer, and until I can get the issue addressed, this may continue. Please keep visiting! Also, often I cannot make a comment on some posts I look at, particularly those who ask for me to show I am a guest. I have noticed sometimes someone can only comment in the "Reply" section of another comment...if that's all that works, then that's fine! Let's keep visiting no matter what happens, and know we are touching each other with our creativity and thoughts and images even when we can't get (or leave) feedback. God bless you my dear blogger friends!

Treasures of the Sky

I am leaving Thursday to go see my Mom (Latane of Living Life on Main Street) in Virginia.  Getting to see her will be a wonderful Treasure!  We will drive up to Portland on Thursday (plan to take lots of pictures!) and spend the night and my flight leaves at 6:30 am Friday.  I will be there a week...plan to take my computer and maybe post some things I already have prepared while I am gone, but I won't be visiting any blogs to make comments till my return....

For Tom's Tuesday's Treasures I have some beautiful (mainly vintage) aircraft from the air show last month at Madras, OR.  And, treasures are also friends.  Russell and our grandson drove up to Madras for the show and to meet our friend George who flew in from Washington state for the event in his two seat STOL  (Short Takeoff and Landing) aircraft.

We saw George last in San Antonio at the Blue Ghost Viet Nam Reunion back in April.

My husband Russell was a pilot for years.  He flew F-111's in the Air Force, and also has his multi-engine commercial license.  After his heart attack in 1999, the thing he loved to do most in the world was taken from him when, even though his heart's ejection faction was within the parameters of being able to still fly, he had been medically grounded.  That has been a loss that was hard for him to take.  His supervisors told him once that he was the best formation pilot they'd ever seen. He loved flying from the time he was six years old.
